We are very privileged to have 83 species of raptors in South Africa. Of these, some 58 species are commonly found in Kruger Park area of South Africa. The Martial Eagle being the largest, with over two-metre wingspan and the Pygmy Falcon at 20cm long being the smallest. I am fortunate to have a pair of nesting Verreaux's Eagle close to where I live and have had the opportunity to photograph them and their offspring over the years.
